๐ŸคŸ About DeafCanWork

Built by a Deaf founder, for our community

Who Built This

Rob Bailey is Deaf, lives in the Portland, Oregon area, and holds a degree in IT. He built DeafCanWork for a simple reason: he kept watching talented Deaf people get overlooked โ€” and it happened to him too.

Rob was denied ASL interpreters at job interviews. Not once. Instead of accepting a hiring system that shuts Deaf workers out, he built his own door โ€” a job board where Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and DeafBlind talent come first.

DeafCanWork exists because the traditional job search wasn't built for us. So we built our own.

Our Mission

"DeafCanWork connects Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and DeafBlind talent with employers who value them."

How It Works

Our Standard

DeafCanWork is not a generic job board. We list Deaf-friendly employers only โ€” businesses that genuinely welcome Deaf workers. We don't post openings from just any hearing business. If an employer doesn't respect our community, they don't get a listing.

That standard is what makes DeafCanWork different โ€” and it's not negotiable.
